They say living well is the best revenge. Use these simple tips to live well, feel better, and look younger.

Simple Tips For Good Health and Proper Nutrition

Add color to your plate - make sure you're getting plenty of essential vitamins and minerals by creating colorful meals. Dark green leafy vegetables, purple fruits and orange foods are loaded with vitamins and minerals that prevent disease and slow aging.

Go for a walk - getting regular exercise can help you manage your weight, improve your mood, and live longer. A daily 30 minute walk at a brisk pace is a great step towards a more active lifestyle, and it won't cost you a dime.

Replace bad fats with good fats - your body does need some fats for proper function, including omega-3s and unsaturated fats. Replace saturated fats found in butter with heart-healthy fats found in olive, canola or walnut oil. Have fish for dinner instead of beef twice a week.

Go nuts - a handful of nuts once a day provides plenty of protein and flavonoids that fight free radicals and reduce inflammation, which are leading causes of aging. Almonds, walnuts and pecans can easily be added to salads instead of chicken or mixed in with cereals and yogurt to make a well balanced snack.
