Lab Tests FAQs

Labs from our lab partners are an important aspect of treatment at Waller Wellness Center. They provide the “evidence” for diagnosing medical conditions and providing effective treatment. Here are common questions concerning labs:

Q: When do I complete my labs?

A: After your first visit, please complete the labs immediately, so we can get the results in a timely manner. After any follow-up appointment, please complete your labs 4 weeks prior to your next appointment. This allows time for processing, reviewing your results, and any unexpected delays.

Q: How do I complete the NutrEval FMV©Test Kit, from Genova Diagnostics?

A: This kit requires you to obtain your own lab specimen prior to coming in for a blood draw at Waller Wellness. For instructions on specimen collection, please click below:

Q: Will you provide me with copies of my labs?

A: In an effort to reduce paper consumption and redundancy, we will no longer supply paper lab results. We will continue to provide the “flow sheet” which tracks the key results pertinent to your specific health condition.

Q: How can I obtain copies of my own labs?

A: Most major labs (Quest, Beaumont, etc.) have online portals to access your results. They are usually available for review about 10 days after collection.

Q: What if my lab results indicate “out of normal ranges? Should I be alarmed and call you?

A: As much as we’d like to, we are unable to provide telephone support to answers questions regarding the results prior to your appointment. Please note the following:

  • Lab results outside the “normal” range are rarely a cause for undue concern, and are always discussed in detail at your follow-up visits.
  • If there are any labs requiring immediate or urgent attention, we will call you.
  • If you feel you must discuss your results before your scheduled visit, please call us to move up your appointment.

Accessing Your Lab Results

Many laboratories now offer the patient access to their records as they become available. As a result, Waller Wellness Center will no longer be providing hard copies of records at office visits unless the reports are unattainable by electronic means. Any records unattainable will still be provided (such as thermography results, results from smaller labs, etc).

Please utilize the following information to access your facility’s laboratory results. If your facility is not listed, please call or visit their website to inquire about online means of accessing results, as most facilities now offer this service.
