Learn the science behind the syndrome, what causes it, and most importantly, how to treat it without using medication.

Presenter: Mary Wilson, Adult Nurse Practitioner

Wednesday, May 29: HCG: A “new” weight loss option. Lose up to a pound per day!

As our population increasingly becomes more obese, individuals find themselves looking for more options to assist in weight loss. Many approaches fail, and some are simply too invasive requiring risky, life-altering surgery. While the mechanism for exactly how HcG works is still unclear, its use has become increasingly popular and heavily promoted. In this presentation we will discuss the use of HcG, or human chorionic gonadotropin, as an effective approach to weight loss.

Presenter: Darci Noonchester MS, Registered Dietitian

Wednesday, June 5: Chelation Therapy: An alternative treatment for heart disease

Chelation therapy to treat cardiovascular disease was first clinically documented over 60 years ago by the renowned Dr. Norman Clarke, Sr., at Providence Hospital in Detroit. His research documented the benefits of chelation therapy to patients with blocked arteries, reduced circulation, and diabetic complications. While controversial in the field of traditional medicine, doctors practicing alternative medicine have been effectively and safely treating heart disease for six decades without surgery or pharmaceutical medication. This lecture will cover the science and history behind chelation therapy, its success in treating heart disease, and the many benefits to a person’s health.

Presenter: Mary Wilson, Adult Nurse Practitioner

Wednesday, June 12: Deep Breathing, Relaxation, and Meditation: How “chilling out” helps your heart and health

Practices such as deep breathing, progressive relaxation and meditation help clear the mind and ease stress. Research suggests that meditation reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke, and death from heart disease. These practices can reduce symptoms associated with chronic pain, digestive disorders, sleep problems, anxiety and depression. If you find it challenging to let go, tune out and be in ‘present moment’ consciousness, this lecture may be for you. Learn what happens to your mind and body as you begin a practice of relaxation.

Presenter: Kathy Paholsky Ph.D., NCTAB Craniosacral Therapist
